2008 SACRAMENTO UNITED INVITATIONAL

WHAT TO DO IN SACRAMENTO?

We hope you take this opportunity to come and play in our great city and visit all that Sacramento has to offer! Come a day early and check it out.

Our historic State Capitol, build in 1874 is a Victorian marvel situated on 40 acres of beautiful gardens and memorials - perfect for a family picnic - or historic Old Sacramento filled with great restaurants, shops and the California Railroad Museum, or take a cruise on the Sacramento River in paddle wheeled replicas of boats that used to ferry passengers up and down the delta.

Historic Sutter's Fort is where it all began here in Sacramento - the hub of the California Gold Rush! Crocker Museum and the Museum of California's Women, History and Art offer tours and is a wonderful way to explore the arts.

Enjoy a leisurely day at the Sacramento Zoo and William Land Park with Funderland amusement park and Fairy Tale Town for the kids. Or if thrills are what you like, there is Waterworld or rafting down the American River! Movie complexes, shopping malls, fine dinning experiences - Sacramento has it all!

For dad there are plenty of beautiful golf courses to choose from, one just adjoining Cherry Island. We are also the home to the River Cats and Raley Field - and of course, the Sacramento Kings and Arco Arena!

And who knows, you might even get a glance of our Governor Arnold on the Downtown Mall!
