About the Academy
The Sac United Academy is designed as a fun skills training for
kids 4, 5, 6, and 7 with an emphasis on fun! The most important goal
of the academy is to show the players how exciting the game of
soccer is while developing their confidence to be creative players.
Players of all abilities may participate. There are no try-outs. No
prior experience is necessary.
The sessions are designed to give the players the maximum amount
of touches on the ball in order to develop dynamic foot skills and
creative dribbling. Players learn to try new moves in a safe
setting.
Kids are trained by a team of coaches led by Sac United's very
own Coach David Rubio. In addition, the players will be trained by
multiple credentialed Sacramento United staff coaches (not parents)
and youth role models. The Academy follows the Dutch system of
player development.
