Sacramento United eXtreme U14/U15 girls NorCal State Cup Silver Division Champions

eXtreme’s season long journey came to culmination on May 8th in Turlock when they won the NorCal State Cup Silver Division Championship match versus Napa United. With a roster frozen back in August eXtreme entered the match with just 12 players. Sierra Montano, Inessa Bartholomew, Gabby Rosales, Lindsey Pope, and Natalie Robinson were all unavailable to play; which left just Angelica Bravo, Stacy Larson, Julia Butterfield, Alondra Cortes, Ramona Sovereign, Claire Nishikawa, Lindsey Bock, Tarryn Johnson, Jordan Hudson, Maddy Cook, Kayla Thompson, and Jamie Padilla to take the pitch.

Just a minute into the match Kayla suffered a mild concussion which left eXtreme with just 11 players for the entire match. eXtreme dominated large portions of the match but were unable to put the ball in the back of the net. Midway through the 2nd half Coach Nate Kropp made some adjustments which quickly led to a score. Tarryn took the ball down the right wing and made an outstanding cutback cross across the face of the goal and Jordan coolly put the ball away. That was all that was needed as Angelica and her defense preserved the shutout victory.

At the referees final whistle players, parents, and fans erupted in celebration not only for becoming Champions but for an entire season well played.
