Sacramento Storm Finalists In Nomads College Showcase
The U17 Sacramento girl’s team elected to participate in one of
the top college showcase tournaments in the country instead of playing
in the much traditional State Cup. Twenty teams from the western
region filled the spots in this twenty team format. The Storm won
their bracket and in the sixth game lost the championship game to
Spokane Shadow, the team they beat in the first round of the
tournament. They played teams from southern California, Washington and
Arizona in front of college coaches from throughout the country.
The Sacramento Storm, finalists in the Nomads College Showcase weekend
of 3/31-4/2 are comprised of 18 players from twelve different high
schools as far away as Chico and Placerville. Six members of the team
are seniors. [Team Picture]
