A BOO-STACULAR
EVENT
OctoBooFest is upon us!
This Saturday and Sunday marks Sac
United’s annual OctoBooFest Soccer Tournament.
175 U9 – U11 teams from all over Northern
California and Nevada will be converging on
Sacramento to participate in one of the largest
U10 soccer tournament around. Featuring great
competition and festive Halloween-themed events
that include a Saturday night Costume Parade,
Costume Contest, the ever popular Scary Soccer,
as well as our annual team scarecrow contest.
Awards are given for best individual costumes,
as well as team themed costumes and best team
scare crow.
Over 2,250 players will be participating at
venues throughout Sacramento - Granite Regional
Park, Mangan Park and Hiram Johnson High School.
Not to mention hundreds of our own very own Sac
United volunteers and referees. Tournament play
begins Saturday morning at 8:00 am, with our
Saturday evening events starting at 6pm at
Granite Park.
Highlighted vendors at our Granite site include
the ever popular Big Joes BBQ, Wildcat
Coffee/Smoothies, Action Shooters, Fine Designs
Tshirts, Jealousy Catering, Kombat Soccer and
the Sac United Snackbar Extravaganza and more!
Special thanks to first year tournament Teresa
Liston-Crain for going above and beyond. Kudos
in advance to all our Sac United parents,
Managers and Executive Committee for making this
event a great success.
Sac United parents interested in earning their
parent volunteer hours either during the
tournament or to volunteer to work the Scary
Soccer School should contact Teresa at
boofest@sacunited.com or
ListonT@sutterhealth.org immediately.
