Financial Assistance

At Sacramento United, we believe every child should have the opportunity to play the game they love, regardless of financial circumstances. Our Financial Aid Program is designed to make high-level soccer accessible and affordable for families in need. We are committed to breaking financial barriers and ensuring that talented and passionate players have the chance to develop, compete, and grow in a supportive environment. By providing assistance to qualifying families, we uphold our mission of making soccer inclusive for all.

If you missed the financial aid question during registration or would like to see if you qualify, please email Brent Sasaki at vicepresident@sacunited.com for assistance. Financial aid eligibility requires a review of your W-2 and 1040 tax documents.

Financial Aid Process When Registering for our Competitive Programs:

FA Program

Registration Process:

• During the registration process, families will need to select “yes” for Financial Aid Assistance.

• This indicates their interest in applying for financial aid based on their financial need.

Application Submission:

• Families can apply for Financial Aid by uploading tax documents (W1040 & W2s) as part of the registration process.

• These documents will help evaluate the family’s financial situation and determine their eligibility for financial aid.

Eligibility Criteria for Returning Players:

• Returning players must meet certain criteria to be eligible to apply for financial aid:

a) Good Standing: Players should be in good standing with the organization, meeting any required standards.

b) Completed Volunteer Hours: Players must have fulfilled their previous year’s volunteer hour requirements.

c) Completed Payments: All outstanding payments from the previous season must be cleared.

Maximum Awards for Families with Multiple Players:

• Families with more than one player will be eligible for a maximum of:

a) One Level 1 Award: This award represents the highest level of financial aid available.

b) One Level 2 Award: This award represents the second level of financial aid available.

Volunteer Opportunities for Financial Aid Recipients:

• Financial aid recipients will be called upon to participate in volunteer opportunities. Families receiving financial aid are required to volunteer a total of 15 hours per family plus 10 additional hours per player receiving financial assistance.  For example, a family with 2 players receiving financial assistance must complete 35 hours (15+10+10).

• This involvement helps foster a sense of community and encourages giving back to the organization.

Confidentiality of Information:

• Any information submitted in support of a financial assistance application will be kept strictly confidential.

• The organization will only share this information to the extent necessary for the effective administration of the program.

• Respecting the privacy of applicants and their financial circumstances is a priority.

Programa De Asistencia Financiera
