About

Since 1977, Sacramento United has been dedicated to creating a family-friendly environment while nurturing players’ technical, tactical, physical, and psychological growth to help them achieve their utmost potential. Our competitive youth soccer program offers year-round training with a strong focus on player development. We aim to deliver the highest standard of competitive play within the region and nation, with a track record of successfully developing players who go on to excel at collegiate and professional levels.

Additionally, our acceptance and active participation in the national league’s Girls Academy and MLS Next further exemplify our commitment to providing top-tier opportunities for our players to thrive and reach their full potential. We believe in more than just being a soccer club; we are a family, fostering a supportive and inclusive community where players can grow not only as athletes but as individuals.

Our competitive program serves over 50+ teams and 1200 players annually.

One Mission

The goals of our training and coaching programs are to build character and instill positive values in our players through hard work, responsibility, mutual respect, and teamwork. We also seek to instill in our players a lifelong love and understanding of the beautiful game of soccer. To achieve these goals, Sacramento United provides a club-wide training and coaching program whereby all players and teams learn from all the coaches in common training sessions and training camps. The coaches work in close coordination with each other to deliver a shared philosophy of the game and the systems to play it. We encourage and support our coaches to obtain higher levels of training and licensing, to develop relations with the recreational clubs where most young players first learn soccer, and to foster player and parental involvement in the planning, organization, and administration of the program.

Sac United wants soccer to help young athletes maximize their opportunities for success in life: be it as a soccer player, using soccer to help get into college, or whatever other path an athlete may choose.  Though it is up to the individual player to create and take advantage of these chances, Sac United’s goal is to have the lessons learned on the soccer field help athletes in achieving their goals in life.

One Location

Sac United is lucky to be one of only two elite level youth clubs in the Sacramento region that has its own centralized training and match facility. Granite Regional Park is our permanent home, with one professional quality turf field, and six grass fields. All of our fields receive weekly maintenance by our dedicated grounds crew. Our centralized facility acts as a major benefit for the club and our families, as we do not have to worry about scheduling training and arranging games at numerous locations throughout the city as the majority of the other youth clubs in the region have to. This is truly a home field advantage.
