IRVINE, Calif. — The Sacramento United UPSL Women’s Team concluded an unforgettable 2026 season with a strong showing at the UPSLW National Finals, representing Northern California among the top women’s amateur clubs in the country.
After capturing their second UPSLW NorCal Championship, Sac United traveled to Irvine with the opportunity to compete against the nation’s best. Throughout the tournament, the team demonstrated the resilience, quality, and competitive spirit that defined its championship season.
Sac United finished group play with a 1-1-1 record, earning second place in its group and advancing to the Third Place Match. Competing against elite opposition from across the United States, the team showcased its ability to compete on the national stage while proudly representing the Sacramento community.
While the tournament marked the end of an incredible season, it also highlighted the continued growth of Sacramento United’s women’s pathway. From developing players within the club to providing opportunities to compete at the highest levels of amateur soccer, the program continues to raise the standard and create meaningful experiences for its athletes.
“Our players represented this club with tremendous character, professionalism, and pride throughout the entire tournament,” said the Girl’s Academy Director and UPSLW Coach, Juanca Fresquez. “To earn a NorCal Championship and compete at the National Finals is something every member of this team should be proud of.”
The 2026 campaign will be remembered as one of the most successful seasons in program history. The team’s accomplishments included:
- 2X UPSLW NorCal Champions (2025 & 2026)
- Qualified for the UPSLW National Finals
- Finished top 4 in overall

Although the National Finals have concluded, the mission continues. The experience gained on the national stage will fuel the next chapter as Sacramento United continues its commitment to developing players, competing for championships, and providing opportunities for athletes to reach the next level.
