ELLEN MARTIN – CANDIDATE

Thank you for your consideration for the position of Sac United Director of Managers. I have been part of this club for the past three years as team manager and I truly enjoy being part of the Sac United family. I previously served on the board of a local soccer club for five years before coming to Sac United and look forward to serving on this board if elected. With two kids playing for Sac United, I can be found most evenings around the fields at Granite Park.
I am a passionate communicator who sees the role of team manager as an important part of every team. It is vital to have a team manager who can connect our parents and players with the club and coaches. This provides a better experience for our players when our teams are run efficiently. As Director of Manager, I will ensure that each team manager will be prepared for their position. I have worked in Communications Organizations for over 15 years. Recently, I received certification in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Communications which ensures communications are accessible and understandable to everyone. I look forward to being able to help all team managers succeed by being a resource for new team managers and providing experienced managers with assistance with any issues, and problem solving. I also see this position as an opportunity to bring my skills to help our club and help provide a positive experience for our parents, players, and coaches.
Thank you again for your consideration.
MATT DURNELL – CANDIDATE

Hello, my name is Matt Durnell and I would like to be your next Director of Managers at Sac United. My family’s journey with Sacramento United started over 10 years ago with our daughter attending a Free Friday clinic and has continued with our son playing for the 2009 Boy’s teams for the past 7 years.
My volunteering experience with Sac United includes prior assistance with the Academy and currently serving as the 09B Red Team Manager for the past two seasons. I am a former coach for Land Park Soccer and beyond the local soccer community, I previously volunteered as an East Sacramento Little League Manager & Coach, served on the ESLL Board and have coached with multiple sports teams for St. Francis Elementary.
I attribute my success as a Team Manager to being a highly effective communicator coupled with consistent follow-up and truly believe that my best “Ability” is my Availability to assist others in a timely manner.
My goals as your Director of Managers are simple: support and collaborate with each team manager to provide the best experience for our club’s members and foster the One Club, One Love spirit at the core of our great club. Thank you for your consideration.
PRANEET SHARMA – CANDIDATE

Hello Sac United Families,
I never thought I would be interested in a BOD position but over the past few years being with Sacramento United, I want to be part of the club and not just a parent. I have for the past 5 years served as a Team Manager with multiple clubs and love the interactions I have with the parents and the coaches. The responsibility gives me the satisfaction to be a part of the Sacramento United Family, being the advocate for the parents and support our players.
My ultimate goal is to work alongside with the club to promote what Sacramento United is all about. A place where people of different diversity can come together as one to show their love for soccer. A place where we all are considered a family and treated with respect. A place where every word is heard regardless of the level of play. A place where kids can come and have fun or find their value as a soccer player who wants to either play for an academy, college or a professional league.
My son has played soccer for years now and has found his home at Sacramento United for the past two years. He absolutely loves his coaches and his team mates. He feels like the club has supported him to rise within the different levels and the coaches are there to push him to achieve his dream. Being able to share that dream with other individuals and families to guide them to the right path would be an honor for me.
Thank you for your consideration.
DANIELLE DOMINGUEZ – INCUMBENT

SPECIAL ELECTION: The Board approved Danielle Dominguez on 03.10.23 as a selected replacement.
Hello, I’m Danielle Dominguez, currently serving as the Registrar with Sacramento United. My journey with the club began over six years ago when my children joined the Academy, and they’ve been thriving ever since. With a daughter now in the Girls Academy and a son poised to enter MLS Next, our involvement in SU runs deep. Over the years, I’ve taken on the role of team manager for both of my children’s teams, past and present, which fueled my decision to join the Board last season.
In my role as Registrar, attention to detail, patience, self-discipline, and effective communication skills are paramount. Throughout my professional career, I’ve undergone various trainings and continually strive to improve myself. As a parent, these qualities are put into practice daily. I am committed to representing our club with honesty, integrity, and the highest standards possible.
I am eager and honored to serve our members, ensuring Sacramento United continues to uphold its reputation as a premier soccer club.
