Sacramento, CA – We are excited to welcome Lee Callow to Sac United. Lee Callow will be joining the club’s coaching staff beginning January 2026, with a primary focus on supporting our Girls Academy (GA) teams while also contributing to the development of our NorCal Premier programs.

Born in England, Lee was raised immersed in the game of football, a passion that shaped both his playing and coaching journey. His love for the game led him to play and coach in England before continuing his coaching career in the United States, where he has spent nearly 20 years developing players within competitive youth environments.

Lee brings more than two decades of coaching experience and is widely respected for his player-first approach, attention to detail, and ability to support both players and coaches in high-performance settings. His background includes working across multiple age groups with an emphasis on technical development, game understanding, and long-term player growth. Lee holds advanced coaching credentials, including the USSF National B License and the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.

In addition to his club experience, Lee has served as a PDP Coach for NorCal Premier, further reinforcing his commitment to identifying and developing top talent within the region. His involvement at the PDP level adds valuable perspective and insight that will benefit both our GA and NorCal Premier pathways.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to start coaching with Sacramento United,” said Callow. “I’ve been coaching in the area for the last 20 years and have always been impressed with the club’s presence, player development, and growth. I am now honored to be actively involved in helping Sac United continue to build and support the Girls Academy and NorCal Premier pathway.”

From the club’s leadership perspective, Lee’s addition strengthens the Girls Academy and NorCal programs and aligns with our long-term vision.

“We are very excited to announce that Lee will be joining our coaching staff beginning in January 2026,” said Elite Programs Director Juan. “It is important for us to bring in individuals who share our goals and aspirations, and Lee aligns perfectly with the club’s vision, values, and objectives. With a strong emphasis on player development, an effective and recognizable style of play, and a deep commitment to helping our players transition to the college level, Lee brings exactly what we are looking for. His experience will be a tremendous asset to our Girls Academy program.”

In his role, Lee will work closely with GA staff and club leadership to support player development, reinforce club standards, and continue building a stronger, unified Girls Academy environment.

We look forward to welcoming Lee Callow to the club and to the positive impact he will have on our players, teams, and staff.
